Changing the status of your employee (active, inactive, roster-only)
Here we will go over how to change the status of your employee (active, inactive, roster-only)
There are three statuses your employees can have
  • Active: employees that appear on payroll, roster, and timesheets on the web. This employee will require an active employee seat on the standard subscription.
  • Roster-only: employees who only appear on rosters and timesheets but not on payroll. These employees do not require an active seat and do not count towards your subscription.
  • Inactive: employees that do not appear on payroll, roster, and timesheets. These employees do not require an active seat and do not count towards your subscription. Employees that are terminated will automatically show this status.
Customising your employee to the correct status is important so that you are billed correctly.
If an employee does not require an active seat, please make sure to set them to Roster-only or deactivate them.
To change the status of your employee please select 'people'
Select the settings wheel for the employee
Select 'Change status'
Currently, this employee is active, as indicated by the grey 'activate' sign.
To change the status, simply click on the status you wish to change the employee to.
You have now changed the status of your employee
